Using found objects, recycled materials, and unexpected mediums, we'll delve into the world of art-making as a tool for emotional release, self-discovery, and personal liberation.

What You'll Learn:

  • Exploring unconventional materials: Discover the artistic potential of everyday objects, natural materials, and recycled treasures. Learn how to transform the ordinary into extraordinary artistic expressions.

Class Structure:

  • Each session will begin with a guided exploration of the week's theme and a discussion on how different artists use unconventional materials.

  • Hands-on activities will guide you through techniques for working with various materials, from collage and assemblage to mixed media and found object sculptures.

  • Open studio time will allow for individualized exploration and experimentation. You'll have the freedom to choose your materials and creative approach.

  • Group discussions and critiques will provide opportunities for feedback, learning from each other, and sharing artistic journeys.

Materials:

  • Think outside the box! This class encourages you to bring everyday objects, natural materials, recycled items, and anything else that inspires you.

  • Basic art supplies like paints, brushes, and glue will all be covered in your tuition.

  • An open mind and a willingness to experiment are essential!

This class is open to anyone interested in exploring their creativity beyond traditional boundaries. Whether you're a seasoned artist looking for a fresh perspective or a complete beginner curious about art-making, this class is an invitation to discover the freedom and joy of self-expression.

  • Feel free to bring any materials that hold personal meaning or inspire you. The more unique, the better!

  • The instructor will provide guidance and support throughout the process, but the emphasis is on individual exploration and self-discovery.

  • This class is a safe and encouraging space for all levels of artists to experiment,express themselves, and find their artistic voice.

This class meets every Thursday from Feb 29 - Apr 4th 6pm to 8pm
